2021 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DRR IN NIGERIA

MAIN THEME: SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION

The International Conference (SaferNigeria, 2021) of the Centre for Disaster Risk Management and Development Studies of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria and the Emergency, Crises & Disaster Risk Management Institute, Lagos, Nigeria will be a unique one as it will feature several key experts in Disaster Risk Reduction/Management across the globe to discuss and share experiences under the theme ‘Resilient Communities we need'. The conference aims to identify and promote Science-based solutions to empower Local Communities to advance Disaster Reduction, adapt to Climate Change and promote Sustainable Development. 

Conference themes will address cross-cutting issues, such as:

This conference will be presented in both Online and Onsite, the participants from within Minna, Niger State can attend physically, while others will attend virtually. The conference will start daily with keynote addresses and round table discussions. The international speakers will participate during the opening ceremony and thereafter speak once in any other day within the conference days.
